This means that the way we talk about and share the medicine is specific.  But not to worry—we created a list of helpful do’s and don’ts to make it super easy for you to know how you can share with your referrals and not to get flagged on SM 

 

Do’s and Don’ts – here are some helpful hints on what you can and should not say in social media posts, email announcements, voice overs, blogs, etc 

 

Do’s – Appropriate Language and Compliant Terminology 

1. “Medical Marijuana may help…” 

1. “Medical Marijuana may support…” 

1. “Medical Marijuana may maintain…”   

 

Don’ts – Phrases to avoid 

1. “Medical Marijuana heals…” 

1. “Medical Marijuana cures…” 

1. “Medical Marijuana treats…” 

1. Using words like: treats, heals, and cures is a no-no.  When talking about cannabis on Social Media, we want to avoid medical terminology and/or claims of disease, illnesses, or disorders. 

1. When in doubt, you can always use an * (asterisk) and type the disclaimer: “These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.” 

 

Example Do: Cannabis may support relaxation and healthy sleep cycles. 

Example Don’t: Cannabis cures insomnia. 

 

Example Do: Medical Marijuana may help support a sense of calm and manage everyday stress. 

Example Don’t: Taking medical marijuana heals anxiety disorder. 

 

Do’s: Link sharing – The best way to share the medicine on social media is by focusing on educational content.  You can share links to informational log articles, studies that support your favorite product, and resources such as the BPFG Strain Database 

 

Don’ts: What links not to post – You cannot directly post links to your affiliate page, BPFG sales, merchandise or product links. You cannot directly post links to THC/Psylocibin merchandise. This will get flagged as either inappropriate community content or as advertising.

Ideas for Content to share: 

1. Favorite Products and information about its medicinal properties 

1. Favorite Strain and its educational properties 

1. Testimonials from your affiliates on how a product has enhanced their life 

1. Educational Information on how to join the Affiliate Program  

1. Educational Information on the tools of being a BPFG Affiliate (NFC Card, Digital Business Card, etc)

How to Utilize Your Personalized Affiliate URL with Our Educational Cannabis Blogs 

When you share a blog from our site, you can easily link your personalized affiliate link , so anyone who goes to the site from your generated link will become a referral when they register through your link. 

This is a great method to try as you can share an educational blog and gain interest from potential referrals with out directly sharing products that may get your flagged on social media.  

Here’s how to create a custom generated link that utilizes your personalized affiliate URL: 

1. Go to My Account and log in
2. Go to Affiliate Area
3. Go to Affiliate URLs
4. Copy and Paste a link to one of our blogs in the Education tab 

Health & Healing or Cannabis Insights 

5. Paste link into the Referral URL Generator
6. Create a campaign name to track your status
7. Copy your generated URL link 
8. Post on social media and share with your network!
